The emblem is roughened to maintain paint durability and smoothed for paintability. The surface is then primed and painted several times in high-quality glossy black and finally sealed with clear varnish.

- All VW Touareg CR models up to and including production date 07/19/2020 and all equipment variants (also R, R-Line) WITHOUT built-in ACC radar sensor.
- Identification sign of an ACC radar sensor that is not installed: Your VW Touareg only has the normal cruise control system (= PR number: 8T6) installed.
- Identification of a built-in ACC radar sensor: Your VW Touareg has the radar-based cruise control system (= PR number: 8T4 or 8T8) installed. If you drive with "Cruise Control", your Touareg automatically keeps the distance to the vehicle in front and brakes automatically.
