We recommend leaving the badges for 3 days after receipt so that they can harden completely.
The first and most important step is to clean the adhesive surface. Any contamination such as grease, dust, wax or silicone must be removed without leaving any residue. A greasy surface, for example, can significantly reduce the adhesive strength of a sticker. Contamination increases the chance of bubbles and bumps forming.
The following steps must therefore be carried out at the beginning:
• Thoroughly clean the adhesive surface
• Completely clean vehicles with a sponge at the desired adhesive point or in the car wash
• Clean the surface with an alcohol-based cleaner and cloth
• Professional cleaners can also be used to gently clean almost all materials
• Allow cleaned surface to dry
• Check the surface again for dirt before attachment
As a tip, you can warm the badge and the surface a little with a hairdryer. The bags should sit correctly the first time as removing and sticking them again greatly reduces adhesion. To make things as easy as possible for you, you can cut away any excess backing paper around the edge. This way you can see the actual sticker much better and it makes measuring and applying it later easier.
Then, in a dust-free environment, remove the backing paper and apply the badges. Press lightly and evenly. Place areas that don't stick immediately and press on longer until the glue is activated and it holds on its own.
For hub caps, the best durability is guaranteed when the surface is smooth. For heavily textured lids, we recommend removing the original caps if possible or replacing the entire lids with smooth accessories.
